Topic 1Introduction of an e-learning tool

Group 2

I have never heard about “Adobe Spark Video” and thanks for introducing it and giving us such a clear and detailed explanation on its advantages, disadvantages and functions etc. with many references too. Frankly, I have downloaded and given a try right after the class and I found it not only user friendly but also powerful.  It worth to take for try as it's FREE, so amazing!  Well done!!

Group 5

Google classroom is very popular nowadays. Teachers with Google Classroom can create classes in minutes, distribute assignments, communicate with students and their parents in one convenient place, send feedback, and see everything in one place : instant, paperless and easy. It is a quite useful platform for students and teachers to interact but how to motivate students to use it effectively is a tough task!

A “like” is given to your presentation because the briefing is well organized which taught me the functions of Google Classrooms clearly. Also, using a table format in presenting its advantages and disadvantage is clear and concise  as well as good for comparison.

Group 4

Same as Sharon, I like watching TED via YouTube but doesn’t its app can be used as a learning tool which is easy to handle. The presentation is good and thanks for sharing.

Noted from the presentation, TED is user-friendly e-learning software which provides students with a good chance to learn via video but it has a limitation which only for video no more than 18 minutes. Such information is useful for planning video making in advance.

Topic 2Creation of a mind-map on 3 learning theories:

Group 4

The mindmap presented in a colorful way which is eye-catching! The theories interpreted not only in a systematic way with pictures but also with detailed and thoroughly with concepts and examples, which definitely can help learners to get the concepts at a glance. However, the description texts fonts in the boxes are bit small that made them hard to read so I’d suggest giving learners its hyperlink that could become perfect.  Thanks for sharing!

Group 2

The mindmap is colorful and the structure is well-constructed in a comprehensive way, contained with lots of information and examples that give me a much more in-depth knowledge in the three theories. However, some paragraphs are rather long so it would be better if they could be sum up in a simple way!

Group 5

The structure of the mind map is well organized and concise. The explanations are clear & easy to understand. Very good presentation work!

Topic 3Creation of a video/animation for teaching a topic:

Group 5

It’s good by using an attractive and interesting video for commencement and well demonstrated how the illegal roadside dumps and solid waste make damages to our environment and arouse audiences’ attention to the theme of the lesson is recycling is importance. It’s very impressive and well done!

Group3

The video is awesome which shows us how to create a new kahoot in a very systemic way. Also, it is impressive by the hard work you have done. Data collected and analyzed are extensive,   illustrations are well-structured.  Moreover, feedbacks are presenting in table format is good as it is easy for users to follow. The application of ADDIE model is significant. Thanks for sharing about Kahoot!  Great job!!

Group 4

The video is interesting and attractive. The scenarios of three characters (the policeman, the theif and the prisoner) are funny. For me, learning mathematics not only boring & a bit suffering sometimes but your group can present it in such an interesting way. It's bravo!

Topic 5E-learning and pedagogical benefits – e-learning course suggestion:

Group 5

All the online courses introduced by your group are impressive and informative. The interpretations and the analysis are well organized in details.  The course "How to speak so that people want to listen" is amazing and useful which is practical in our real life situation.  Appreciated you all efforts made and thanks for sharing!

Group 2

The e-learning courses suggested are in different aspect. All sharing are in clear format and in concrete presentation.  I like the course proposed by Matthew, the "Dinosaur cosystems" very much. It’s interesting and informative.  The analysis in the pedagogical benefits is systemic and precise. A big hand is given to Stella who spotlighted the key parts in red in the course objective and target learners section. The highlighted can give a clear idea what they will learn before the enrollment so as to achieve their expectations.  Well done!

Group 3

I like the e-learning course suggested by Ray Minecraft Hour of Code” that is clear and well-structured. That's great.  The learning outcome is specific involving every level of Bloom’s Taxonomy, also included lots of pictures associated with his own points for illustrations, detail and concrete so that makes it easier for us to understand.  All five proposed courses of your group are excellent and useful but no selection for the best of the five! For me, the most impressive one is “Minecraft Hour of Code” – Ray’ suggestions!

Topic 6Research on & with technology in education – make e-learning course engaging course)

Group 3

I agree with all of your suggestions especially "Staying updated". Nowadays, technologies enable us to do something quicker, faster, or more precisely. "Staying updated" and "learning materials are practical and useful", are vital.  No one would like to learn something is outdated and impractical.

Group 4

I agree with some of your points, however, could you interpret the last point - "Relate to real life" in detail?  Suppose that most curriculums of on-line courses are designed in accordance with the needs or demands in the current market which should be related to real life!  Maybe, can you explain in more details or give us some examples so as to let us have a concrete idea of it?

Group 2

Points listed are comprehensive and considerable! I do agree with “interactive element” and “gamification element” because they can motivate students to engage in the classroom activities effectively, especially young kids or students with less motivation. However, how to employ “gamification” on e-learning courses is an important issue which requires serious consideration in term of time and effort.  Thank you for sharing! Well doneJ

Topic 7Mobile and handheld technologies in education

Group 5

Thanks for introducing these 2 apps with clear comparison for their pro and con thoroughly. Both are good learning tools for learning English which would be benefitted learners in a handy mean.  I think if the 2 apps could be freely exchanged between American English & British English, and adding more new challenging lessons, it would be more awesome.

Besides, I noted that “Hearing Practice” was used in your presentation and would suggest “Listen Practice” would be more appropriate. To my understanding, the most difference between two is “hearing” is just a God-given capability, while listening is a skill that needs to be learnt and constantly practiced. Moreover, hearing is a sense of perception of sounds through the ear while listening is deciphering the meaning behind the sounds whereas the key to learning and understanding is through listening.  As these two are language learning tools which audiences are targeted to improve and strengthen their language so the choice of right words is vital indeed.

Group 4

The presentation of your group is rather similar but clear enough and easy to understand. I like the highlighting in key words in different color that can capture audiences’ attention to the the theme taught.  But, the two apps are new to me and I have no ideas what they are before this class. It would be better if a short introduction on the two apps at the beginning for a new learner like me.  I like particularly the function “Give English news and oral practice” of扇貝背單詞 which is useful.

Thanks for sharing.

Group 3

The presentation is colorful associated with lots of pictures of two apps which are attractive and informative.  I love most are the parts namely, "rooms for improvement", “similarities” and “The differences” are precise, especially of “basic functionality” which presents in a table format with relevant pictures, it would be more engaging.; however the text fonts in the table descriptions are a bit smaller as well as the sound didn’t functioned too!!

Topic 8Mini e-learning activity

Group 3

Your class was really a well-structured e-learning activity using Nearpod as well as storytelling of an old fable "Wolf is coming".  It’s AWESOME. As teachers, we know how important formative assessment is to our instruction.  Nearpod provides us with “on-the-fly” features that can be added during the presentation. Your presentation was impressed and well done. Great job!

Group 2

It’s fun and enjoyable to join your Workshop and thanks for teaching us to make such a beautiful “Lunar New Year” decorations by using the used/unwanted red packets. Moreover, it’s creative to deliver the message of “the importance in Recycling” via video teaching as well as work practicing step by step, work procedures are easy to understand. Also, it would be perfect if the video speed could slow down a bit!  You all guys are doing well, it’s appreciated!

Group 5

Appreciated for providing us with iPads in demonstration & practice even the outcome is a bit out of expectation, but you all were doing an awesome work!  It's impressive to me because it’s really amazing to see real application of 3D learning in the classroom!  One suggestion as a new learner of 3D application, it should be grateful if you could give us a short briefing or introduction about 3D learning and its application so as to let have a basic idea so as to let us have more fun and interest when participiate into the activities.

I suppose that you could do a better job in the explaining part of why you choose this instruction device according to some related theories!
