2.practical and logical content(from easy to hard)
3.offering clear learning objectives for learners
4.the platform should be user-friendly and teachers could offer a guidance to learners
5.interaction between the learners and teachers(timely response of learners and teachers' evaluation)
6.learners' preferences of simultaneous course or not.
logical content and learners'preferences of simultaneous are always ignored,and I think we do need to highlight them when we are preparing a course.

It would be better if you can give some explanation on it. And I think the most important factors in your sharing is the interaction between instructors and learners, which can improve their communication during the course. For example, they can communicate before, in, and even after finishing the course to give reciprocal evaluation to improve teaching and learning.

In today's fast-paced world, the e-learning platform has to be user-friendly and attractive, the content has to be well-organized as people has less and less patience in waiting for the platform to load and shorter attention span.

回复删除For this questions, I really agree with your first consideration of an engaging topic to gain the learner’s attention. Then no.3, no.4 and no.5 are similar to the ideas of Gagne’s nine events method of informing the objective, providing learning guidance and assessing performance. On the other hand, I think the guidance of helping learner to transfer the knowledge to their everyday life problem-solving will also be the point to engage learner.
回复删除I think that the interaction between teachers and learners is one of the most critical factors in making an online course engaging. The teacher still needs to have some sort of presence in the online elearning course. I feel that the teacher is essential in creating and guiding discussion among students online. They can push students to move beyond their comfort zones when taking part in online discussion. They can ask critical questions which challenges students’ understanding and allows for meaningful learning to occur. This is something that cannot occur without the teacher monitoring their progress and taking on the role as a facilitator.
回复删除I agree with your points and I think point 4 and point 5 are very significant. The platform should be more user-friendly as learners do not need to spend much time to learn how to use it. Guidance to learners should be offered. Besides, a formative assessment or evaluation should be given to learners so that their learning progress can be assessed.

For the third point, offering learning outcomes are important for students to know what they will learn in advance.
